Tato práce se zaměřuje na rozdíly mezi venkovem a městem, tak jak jsou zobrazeny ve čtyřech vybraných anglických románech: Anna Elliotová od Jane Austen, Adam Bede od George Eliot, Neblahý Juda od Thomase Hardyho a North and South od Elizabeth Gaskell. This thesis focuses on the differences between the country and the city, as they are illustrated in four nineteenth-century English novels: Persuasion by Jane Austen, Adam Bede by George Eliot, Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy and North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell.
