Resistance of Composites Against Projectile Attack

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rešerší polymerních kompozitů, balistiky, základního roz-dělení střeliva a norem, které se zabývají odolností proti průstřelu. Další částí této práce příprava vzorků z dané rešerše, vyhodnocení prostřelených desek, použitých ráží a výsledky dalších měřících metod, kterými jsme zjišťovaly další vlastnosti připravených vzorků. Jak již víme, kompozit je materiál, jehož vlastnosti jsou podstatně lepší než samotná matrice či výztuž. Díky těmto vylepšeným vlastnostem mají kompozity širokou škálu uplatnění. Ovšem nejrozšířenější aplikací kompozitů je v leteckém průmyslu, kosmonautice a ve vojenství. V menším procentu se používají na výrobu protipovodňových hrází, jako výztuž do fasád budov, oken a dveří. Proto, aby mohl být tento materiál použit na tyto účely, je zapotřebí jejich odolnost proti průstřelu běžných krátkých palných zbraní.

Abstract:

This Master thesis deals with summary polymer composites, ballistics, ammunition and dis-tribution of basic standards, which describe and fall into several categories resistance to penetration. Another part of this work is the preparation of samples from the research, eva-luation of composite boards, used caliber and the results of other measuring methods, which we further investigated the properties of the prepared samples. As we already know, composite is a material whose properties are substantially better than the matrix itself or reinforcement. With these improved properties are composites wide range of applications. However, the most common applications of composites in the aircraft industry, aerospace and military. In a smaller percentage used in the manufacture of dikes, as reinforcement in building facades, windows and doors. Therefore, it can be the material used for these pur-poses, it is necessary their resistance to penetration conventional handguns.
