Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce si klade za cíl historicky a filosoficky kontextualizovat fenomén tzv. „black boxu“, neboli "černé skříňky", a zabývat se jím nejen jako částí „aparátu“, ale především porozumět mu jako kulturnímu a metaforickému symbolu digitalizované současnosti. Práce vychází z poznatků mediální teorie Viléma Flussera, přičemž jejím základním teoretickým východiskem je porozumění a kritické zhodnocení jeho konceptů kódu a gesta, porozumění problémům, které tyto koncepty odkrývají v současné postmoderní společnosti, a následně aplikace myšlenek Viléma Flussera na dané problémy. Ve výzkumné části bakalářské práce jsou následně tyto poznatky aplikovány na praxi filmového střihu, kdy je na jedné straně možné vnímat střižnu jako "black box", na druhé pak střih jako specifické tvůrčí gesto. Tyto dvě roviny jsou posléze návzájem komparovány.

Abstract:

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to contextualize historically and philosophically the phenomenon of the "black box" and to deal with it not only as a part of the "apparatus", but to understand it as a cultural and metaphorical symbol of the contemporary digitalized world. The thesis is based on Vilém Flusser's media theory and it offers a critical evaluation of his concepts of code and gesture, to understand the problems that these concepts reveal in contemporary postmodern society, and then to apply his ideas to these problems. In the research part of the bachelor's thesis, these findings are then applied to the practice of film editing, where on the one hand it is possible to perceive the editing room as a "black box" and on the other hand editing as a specific creative gesture. These two parts are then compared with each other.
