Improving the labour market opportunities for women with children

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jaké jsou možnosti na trhu práce pro ženy s malými dětmi v Ústeckém kraji. Použita byla komparace s některými státy EU, kde je vysoká zaměstnanost těchto žen a také dotazníkové šetření mezi ženami, jehož cílem bylo zjistit potřeby žen při návratu na trh práce po rodičovské dovolené. Hlavní bariéru tvoří nízká nabídka flexibilních forem organizace práce a nedostatečná kapacita předškolních zařízení. Bylo by také vhodné zajistit ženám průběžné vzdělávání během RD, ať už ze strany státu nebo zaměstnavatelů.

Abstract:

The aim of the study was to find out what oportunities for the women with small children in the Ústí region labour market are. It was used the comparison with some of the EU states with high employment of these women, as well as a questionnaire survey among women, whose aim was to identify the needs of women returning to work after parental leave. The main barrier is the low offer of flexible forms of work organization and lack of capacity of preschool facilities. It would also be appropriate to provide continuing education to women during their parental leave by the state or employers.
