Social and ethical audit in the international financial institutions

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce obsahuje analýzu sociálního a etického auditu a způsob interní komunikace ve firmách s mezinárodní účastí působících v českém finančním sektoru. V první části práce jsou vymezeny základní teoretické pojmy sociálního auditu a s tím souvisejícího legislativního uspořádání na českém trhu práce, které mají čtenáře seznámit s jeho obsáhlostí. Ve druhé části jsou analyzovány vybrané sociální aktivity v činnosti sledovaných firem. Tyto podniky mají rozdílný počet zaměstnanců a jsou zároveň součástí nadnárodních společností. Je zde provedena analýza odborných písemných materiálů a práce je také podpořena kvalitativním průzkumem zabývajícím se genderovou politikou a některými CSR aktivitami. Mezi tyto patří zejména enviromentální politika. Cílem práce je čtenářům vysvětlit problematiku sociálního a etického auditu, seznámit je s jeho průběhem ve sledovaných firmách a porovnat zkoumané oblasti v činnosti obou podniků.

Abstract:

The key objective of this bachelor thesis is to analyze social and ethical audit activities in the companies with foreign participation operating in the Czech financial sector, as well as the methods of internal communication therein. The first part of this study defines the basic theoretical concepts of social audit and it presents relevant laws applicable in the Czech labor market. The second part hereof deals with selected aspects of social activities run in the companies which have a different number of employees and which are part of a multinational company. The findings of the research part of this study result from analysis of professional underlying documents and other relevant source material. The underlying documents cover a qualitative research on gender policy and of some activities concerning CSR (especially environmental policy). The aim of this study is to try to describe to readers the issues of social and ethical audits. As well as to describe the process of social audits run in the monitored companies, and compare the common features and differences in the mentioned area of activities by both companies.
