High school students and their addiction to social networks

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Závislost studentů střední školy na sociálních sítích se zaměřuje na problematiku závislosti adolescentů na sociálních sítích. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda adolescenti vykazují znaky závislosti na internetu a mobilním telefonu. Práce je složena ze dvou části teoretické a praktické část. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na definici závislosti, příčiny vzniku závislosti a její léčbu. Dále se teoretická část zabývá sociálními sítěmi, jejich historií, druhy a významem v dnešní společnosti. V teoretické části se následně autor zabývá pozitivním a negativním použitím sociálních sítí, vlivem sociálních sítí na proces socializace a zdraví člověka. V závěru teoretické části autor vysvětluje pojem netolismus a zaměřil se na vývojová období adolescenta. V praktické časti autor provedl výzkum pomocí dotazníkové metody. Dotazník byl určen studentům středních škol. Cílem výzkumu bylo zjistit, kolik studentů vykazuje prvky závislosti uváděné odbornou literaturou, a jak užívání sociálních sítí dopadá na zdraví žáků, školní výsledky pracovní povinnosti a osobní život. Výsledky šetření jsou zaznamenány v grafech a tabulkách.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is titled Addiction of high school students to social networks focuses on the issue of addiction to social networks of adolescents. The main goal of this thesis was to find out whether adolescents show signs of dependence on the Internet and mobile phones. The thesis consists two basic areas, theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of addiction, the causes and treatment of addiction. The theoretical part also deals with social networks, their history, types and importance in today's society. In the theoretical part, the author deals with the positive and negative use of social networks, the effect of social networks on the process of socialization and human health. At the end of the theoretical part, the author explains the concept of netolism and focuses on the developmental period of adolescents. In the practical part, the author did the research using a questionnaire method. The questionnaire was designed for high school students. The research target was to find out how many high school students appear elements of addiction described in the specialized literature and how the use of social networks impacts their health, school performance and personal life. The research results are recorded in graphs and tables.
