Kindergarten directors' opinions on the application of canisterapy in pre-school education in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zabýváme pohledem ředitelů mateřských škol na uplatnění canisterapie v předškolním vzdělávání v České republice. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, jaký je zájem ředitelů mateřských škol o canisterapii v předškolním vzdělávání, a to prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření a užitím metody náhodného výběru. V teoretické části se věnujeme rešerši literatury, vymezení předškolního vzdělávání a canisterapii se zaměřením na vzdělávání v mateřské škole. V empirické části jsou popsány užité metody, stanovené cíle práce a charakteristika výzkumu. Ze zjištění vyplývá, že ředitelé mají zájem o canisterapii v předškolním vzdělávání a považují ji za vhodnou metodu pro předškolní vzdělávání, která může mít přínos pro děti v mateřské škole. Z výsledků také můžeme zjistit představu ředitelů o organizaci canisterapie v předškolním vzdělávání a omezení či obavy vztahující se ke canisterapii v mateřské škole. Ze závěrů je také patrné, co by dále podpořilo metodu canisterapie v předškolním vzdělávání.

Abstract:

In this thesis we examine the view of kindergarten directors on the application of canistherapy in preschool education in the Czech Republic. The main aim of the thesis is to find out the interest of kindergarten principals in canistherapy in preschool education by means of a questionnaire survey and using a random sampling method. In the theoretical part, the literature search, the definition of preschool education and canistherapy with a focus on kindergarten education are discussed. The empirical part describes the used methods, the stated aims of the thesis and the characteristics of the research. The findings show that principals are interested in canistherapy in preschool education and consider it an appropriate method for preschool education that can benefit children in kindergarten. From the results, we can also know the principals' perception about the organization of canistherapy in preschool education and the limitations or concerns related to canistherapy in kindergarten. The findings also show what would further support the canistherapy method in preschool education.
