Analysis of the effectiveness of mergers and acquisitions

Anotace:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na téma fúze a akvizice a jejich aplikaci v českém bankovním sektoru. Cílem práce je analyzovat situaci firem před fúzí a následně komparovat data s výsledky po fúzi. V teoretické části jsou definovány základní pojmy, které se týkají fúze a akvizice, a jsou zdůrazněna rizika tohoto procesu, zejména nebezpečí nedostatečné integrace firemních kultur. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení úspěšnosti této fúze, včetně plnění stanovených cílů.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the topic of mergers and acquisitions and their application in the Czech banking sector. The goal of the work is to analyze the situation of the companies before the merger and then compare the data with the results after the merger. In the theoretical part, the basic concepts related to mergers and acquisitions are defined, and the risks of this process are highlighted, especially the danger of insufficient integration of corporate cultures. The practical part of the work focuses on the evaluation of the success of this merger, including the fulfillment of the set goals.
