The conflict between the burghers and nobles in the late 15th and 16th centuries

Abstract:

Společenský konflikt mezi stavy na přelomu 15. a 16. století je nejčastěji viděn na pozadí vzniku Vladislavského zřízení zemského. Je však pochopitelné, že sepsání zemského práva nebylo jediným důvodem nepokojů v zemi. Stavovský konflikt byl ovlivněn řadou okolností, které sahají hlouběji do minulosti a přímo souvisejí s řadou změn, které přinesla husitská revoluce. Jedním ze zlomových okamžiků sporu je již zmíněné Vladislavské zřízení zemské, které přetrvávající neshody mezi stavy ještě více prohloubilo a na několik let prodloužilo. Tato práce tak sleduje okolnosti tohoto konfliktu až do sepsání Svatováclavské smlouvy v roce 1517, která přispěla k uklidnění situace v celé zemi. Nicméně na příkladu královského města Loun můžeme sledovat přetrvávající konflikt mezi měšťany a příslušníky šlechticů.

Abstract:

The social conflict between burghers and nobility at the turn of the 15th and the 16th centuries is most frequently seen in the background of the formation of the Vladislavské zřízení zemské. However, it is understandable that the writing of the law was not the only reason for the riots in the country. The social was affected by a number of circumstances that go deeper into the past and are directly related to a number changes brought about by the Hussite Revolution. One of the turning points of the dispute is the already mentioned Vladislavské zřízení zemské, that persisted disagreements between the burghers and nobility still deepened and extended for several years. This work follows the circumstances of this conflict until the drafting of the Treaty Svatováclavská smlouva in the year 1517, which helped to calm the situation int the country. However, on the example of the royal town of Louny, we can observe the continuing conflict between burghers and members of the nobles.
