Empirical macroeconomic model of the Czech labour market

Abstract:

Trh práce je klíčovou součástí každé ekonomiky a jeho fungování ovlivňuje život všech ekonomicky aktivních obyvatel. Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat dopady různých strukturálních šoků na český trh práce a na ekonomiku jako celek. Cíle bude dosaženo pomocí vhodně zvoleného strukturálního VAR modelu odhadnutého bayesovskými metodami. K samotné analýze výsledků budou použity nástroje historické šokové dekompozice a dekompozice chyb rozptylu predikcí, zároveň bude posouzena predikční výkonnost sestrojeného modelu.

Abstract:

The labour market is a key component of every economy, and its functioning affects the lives of every economically active individual. The objective of this diploma the-sis is the analysis of the impacts of several different structural shocks to the Czech labour market and the economy as a whole. The objective will be achieved via appropriately chosen structural VAR model estimated through Bayesian methods. For the analysis itself the tools of historical shock decomposition and the forecast error variance decomposition will be used, moreover, the predictive performance of the constructed model will be evaluated.
