Manifestations of Inequality in the Labor Market in Terms of Gender

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá projevy nerovnosti na tru práce z hlediska genderu. Práce zahrnuje historii postavení ženy ve společnosti, vysvětluje základní pojmy genderové problematiky, zabývá se diskriminací, legislativní úpravou diskriminace, diskriminací mateřství, situací žen, které se chtějí navrátit na pracovní trh a situací žen ve vedoucích pozicích. V poslední části se zabývá platovou nerovností mezi muži a ženami, která je srovnána pomocí sekundární analýzy dokumentů Českého statistického úřadu.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the manifestations of inequality on the labour market from the perspective of gender. The work contains the history of the position of women in society, explains the basic concepts of gender issues, discrimination, legislation of discrimination, discrimination of maternity, situation of women who want to return to the labour market and the situation of women in leadership positions. In the last part this thesis deals with the wage inequality between men and women, which is compared by using a secondary analysis of the documents of the Czech Statistical Office.
