Conditions for the development of dark tourism in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

[Bakalářská práce] Vysoká škola hotelová a ekonomická. Praha: 2022. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda má dark turismus v ČR dostatečné předpoklady pro jeho rozvoj. Dalším z cílů této bakalářské práce je analyzovat zvyšující se zájem o tento druh turismu.Autorka se nejvíce zaměřuje na mládež, zda mají dostatečné povědomí o místech spojených s dark turismem. V teoretické části práce je shrnuta základní charakteristika turismu, druhy turismu, následně dark turismu a především jaká je motivace návštěvníků dark turismu. V praktické části je úkolem autorky zjistit, zda máme v ČR k dispozici dostatečné předpoklady pro rozvoj dark turismu a zda o tyto místa jeví zájem mládež. V samotné analýze je zvoleno dotazníkové šetření, následuje jeho vyhodnocení. V závěru práce je souhrn návrhů pro potenciální účastníky dark turismu.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to find out whether dark tourism in the Czech Republic has sufficient preconditions for its development. Another goal of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the growing interest in this type of tourism. The author was most interested in young people, whether they have sufficient awareness of places associated with dark tourism. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the basic characteristics of tourism, types of tourism, then dark tourism and especially what is the motivation of visitors to dark tourism. In the practical part, the authors task is to find out whether we have sufficient preconditions for the development of dark tourism in the Czech Republic and whether adolescents are interested in these places. A questionnaire survey is chosen in the analysis itself, followed by its evaluation. At the very end of the work is a summary of proposals for potential participants in dark tourism.
