Art expression and reflection of emotion preconcepts by fifth-grade pupils of primary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce představuje didaktický experiment, v němž jsou zkoumána nefigurativní výtvarná vyjádření pojmů emocí u žáků páté třídy. Výzkum využívá kombinaci kvantitativní a kvalitativní metodiky, přičemž základem sondy je vyučovací jednotka výtvarné výchovy. K následné analýze přispěl zejména dotazník zadaný tvůrcům a nezávislým respondentům mimo akci. Výzkum byl realizován ve snaze získat nové údaje, které by bylo možné komparovat s probíhajícími dlouhodobými analýzami. Jejich cílem je zabývat se zvláštnostmi a originálními rysy formy zobrazovaných emocí, jejich verbálním interpretováním a hodnocením. V neposlední řadě se výzkum zaměřuje na zkoumání intelektuálních a komunikačních operací, které doprovázejí výtvarná vyjádření a hodnocení reprezentující některé lidské emoce. Na základě metodického přístupu kvalitativní analýzy výtvarného stylu jedince, je možné odhalit typické rysy prekonceptů u vybraných pojmů dětí. Studie této práce je ovšem obohacena o dosud nezapojenou generovou žákovskou komparaci. Větší důraz je kladen na porovnávání, interpretace a hodnocení skupiny žáků a budoucích učitelů VV (expertů). Výsledky analýzy by měly odhalit patrné zvláštnosti u obou těchto porovnávaných skupin.

Abstract:

The thesis shows a didactic experiment, in which nonfigurative art expression of emotions of the fifth-grade pupils is explored. The research uses a combination of quantitative and qualitative methodology, while the basic unit is one class of art. This is followed by a questionnaire assigned to the creators as well as independent respondents. The research was realized to gain new data, which would be possible to compare with the data of currently running long-term analysis aiming at peculiarities and original features of the form of depicted emotions, their verbal interpretation and evaluation. The research also deals with the examination of intellectual and communicative processes accompanying the artistic expression and evaluation representing some of the human emotions. Based on the methodology of quantitative analysis of the artistic style of an individual it is possible to reveal typical features of the children´s pre-concepts of selected notions. The study of the thesis is enriched with a generated pupil´s comparison which has not been involved so far. A greater emphasis is added to comparison, interpretation and evaluation of a group of pupils and future teachers of art (the experts). The results of the analysis should reveal apparent peculiarities of both of these groups.
