Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá postavením osob 50+ na trhu práce v České republice v letech 2005-2020, a to na úrovni jednotlivých krajů. V teoretické části práce nejprve představuje základní teoretické koncepty související s nezaměstnaností a trhem práce. Práce zhodnocuje faktory zvýhodnění a znevýhodnění osob 50+ na trhu práce a dochází k závěru, že se jedná o znevýhodněnou skupinu na trhu práce. V praktické části dochází ke srovnání míry nezaměstnanosti starších osob napříč jednotlivými kraji a představení základních charakteristik jednotlivých krajů. Na základě těchto informací jsou potom vybrány kraje, u kterých dochází k analýze vývoje míry nezaměstnanosti starších osob v závislosti na vývoji agregované hrubé přidané hodnoty vybraných odvětví, ve kterých jsou starší pracovníci zastoupeni nejvíce. Hypotéza o existující závislosti daných proměnných se zamítá, ale za určitých podmínek byl nalezen relativně konzistentní vztah ve vývoji těchto proměnných. Vzhledem k demografickému vývoji je potřeba hledat další způsoby podpory znevýhodněné skupiny osob 50+ na trhu práce. Tato práce se pokusila ověřit, zdali by podpora odvětví s největším zastoupením starších pracovníků mohla vést ke zlepšení jejich situace na trhu práce. Vzhledem k zamítnutí hypotézy je však třeba hledat další cesty, jak efektivněji podpořit osoby 50+ na trhu práce, k čemuž bude potřeba další výzkum.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the position of 50+ persons in the labour market in the Czech Republic between 2005-2020 on a regional level. In the theoretical part, fundamental theoretical concepts related to the labour market and unemployment are introduced. This thesis evaluates advantages and disadvantages of 50+ persons in the labour market and concludes that 50+ persons are a disadvantaged group in the labour market. In the practical part, there is a comparison of the rate of unemployment of older persons on a regional level and basic characteristics of all regions are introduced. Based on this information, a number of regions is chosen for the analysis. The analysis tests, whether the development of the rate of unemployment of older persons is related to the development of aggregate gross value added of selected sectors with the largest representation of older workers. While the hypothesis of a dependency between these variables is rejected, under specific circumstances a relatively consistent relationship between these variables exists. Considering the current demographic development, it is necessary to look for other ways of supporting the disadvantaged group of 50+ persons in the labour market. This thesis tried to verify, whether support of sectors with the largest representation of older workers would improve the position of older workers in the labour market. Because the hypothesis was rejected, it is necessary to look for other ways of supporting 50+ persons in the labour market, which will require further research.
