Algebraic approach to quantum theory in continuous and discrete space

Anotácia:

Tato práce se zabývá algebraickým přístupem ke kvantové teorii. Práce obsahuje souhrn základů teorie abelovských C*-algeber, teorie reprezentací C*-algeber včetně GNS konstrukce, základních principů algebraické kvantové teorie pole a implementace symetrií. Dále jsou zkonstruovány dvě unitárně neekvivalentní reprezentace: Schrödingerova a polymerová. Následně jsou na nich porovnány konstrukce koherentních stavů, konstrukce hamiltoniánu pro harmonický oscilátor, jeho časový vývoj, energiové spektrum a stacionární stavy.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with algebraic approach to quantum theory. It contains the foundations of theory of abelian C*-algebras, representation theory of C*-algebras including GNS construction, fundamental principles of algebraic quantum field theory and the symmetry implementation. The two unitarily inequivalent representations are constructed, namely Schroedinger and polymer representations. Several types of constructions are subsequently compared on them, specifically the construction of coherent states, construction of Hamiltonian of harmonic oscillator, its time evolution, energy spectrum and stationary states.
