Institutions for Leisure Time Spending of the Youth

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem Instituce pro trávení volného času mládeže bude pojednávat o instituci, ve které bude proveden terénní výzkum s použitím analýzy Malinowského v rámci institucionální ekonomie Douglase C. Northa. Jejím cílem je zjistit, jestli instituce plní své veřejné poslání v oblasti trávení volného času mládeže. Teoretická část je vypracována na základě literární rešerše a internetových zdrojů. Tato část je vymezena pro definice pojmů, vztahujících se k tématu volný čas. Je zde popsána preventivní funkce volného času a ekonomický pohled. Dále je zde vymezena Malinowského teorie institucí, podle které je pojem instituce formulován. V práci je popsána instituce Sokol a definovány příjmy sportovních a neziskových organizací.Praktická část má za úkol představit nový sport florbal a popsat jeho historii a vývoj ve světě i v České republice. Dalším úkolem je potvrdit předem stanovené hypotézy v konkrétní instituci Sokol Královské Vinohrady. Hypotézy jsou zpracovány podle analýzy institucí Bronislawa Malinowského. Výsledky a doporučení na zlepšení zjištěných nedostatků jsou citovány v závěru této práce. Byly ratifikovány hypotézy, že klub plní své poslání instituce a vlastní dostatek finančních prostředků pro ideální chod svých činností.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis titled Leisure Institutions for the Young People is based on a field research in a leisure institution. It should determine, if this institution performs its public mission of organizing leisure time activities of the young generation. The field research uses Malinowski´s analysis within then Institutional Economics of Douglas C. North. The theoretical part is grounded in a literature review and Internet resources, and it is assigned for definitions of terms related to the topic of leisure time. Preventive function of leisure time and a related economic point of view are described there. Malinowski´s Theory of Institutions, defining concept of the institution, is the backbone of the theoretical part. The thesis describes the institution called Sokol and defines revenues of sports and non-profit organizations.The practical part is to introduce a new sports branch floorbal and to describe its history and development in the world and in the Czech Republic. Another task is to confirm the predetermined hypotheses in a particular institution - in this case in TJ Sokol Královské Vinohrady and its floorbal sports club. Hypotheses are processed according to the analysis of institutions by Bronislaw Malinowski. The results and recommendations to improve identified deficiencies are presented in the conclusion of the thesis. The predetermined hypotheses that the club fulfils its mission of the institution and that it has sufficient funds for ideal running of its activities have been confirmed.
