Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo zjistit, co napomáhá a co naopak brání sociálním pracovníkům a redaktorům prezentovat sociální práci s Romy v médiích. Odpověď jsem se snažila zjistit z rozhovorů se sociálními pracovníky pracujícími s romskou menšinou a s redaktory českých deníků a televize. V teoretické části jsem vysvětlila základní pojmy týkající se sociální práce, romské menšiny, sociální práce s Romy a médií. Zaměřila jsem se také na postavení sociálních pracovníků ve společnosti a jejich strukturu v organizacích, která by mohla ovlivnit komunikaci mezi sociálními pracovníky a redaktory. K zodpovězení základní výzkumné otázky jsem využila polostrukturované kvalitativní rozhovory s již zmíněnými respondenty. Tyto rozhovory jsem zanalyzovala a pokusila jsem se zaznamenat, v čem spatřují sociální pracovníci a redaktoři problém při vzájemné komunikaci a při prezentování sociální práce s Romy v médiích.

Abstract:

The objective of this study was to find out what helps, and on the other hand, what prevents social workers in presentation of social work with Romanies throughout the media. I tried to find the answer by interviewing social workers working with Romani minority and journalists from Czech newspapers and television. I’ve explained basic concepts of social work, Romani minority, social work with Romanies and media in the theoretical part of my study. I have also studied the position of social workers in our society and non- profit organizations, that could affect the communication between social workers and journalists. To answer the essential question of my study, I’ve used semistructured interwiev with already mentioned respondents. I have analysed these interviews and I’ve tried to determine the problem that social workers and journalists see in communication between them and in presentation of social work with Romanies throughout the media.
