Monitoring of the selected heavy metals ions content in the Ostravice river

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá sledováním obsahu iontů těžkých kovů v řece Ostravici. Cílem bylo vytvořit a ověřit metody ke stanovení vybraných iontů těžkých kovů a zjistit v jakém množství se vybrané ionty v řece vyskytují a zdali splňují limity dané ČSN. Odběry vzorků byly prováděny pod jezem a nad jezem z řeky Ostravice v Komenského sadech v blízké přítomnosti hydrologické stanice. Vzorky byly analyzovány metodou atomové absorpční spektrometrie s elektrotermickou atomizací, plamenovou AAS a metodou studených par. Nejlepšími výsledky z pohledu limitů kvantifikace (LOQ) se jevily výsledky stanovení zinku (0,008 ?g/l), kadmia (0,065 ?g/l) a rtuti (0,372 ?g/l). A nejhoršími z pohledu LOQ byly hodnoty získané pro nikl (10,669 ?g/l) a měď (5,694 ?g/l). Z pohledu přesnosti mezi nejlepší stanovení patří stanovení zinku (0,386 %), niklu (0,575 %) a mědi (0,568 %) a mezi nejhorší olovo (2,691 %) a chrom (3,81 %). Nejlepší výsledky z pohledu správnosti poskytuje stanovení kadmia (0,328 %, rtuti (0,63 %) a chromu (0,912 %) a nejhorší výsledky stanovení mědi (20,183 %) a olova (13,775 %). U majoritních kovů jsou z pohledu limitu kvantifikace i detekce nejlepší metody vápníku a hořčíku, to samé i z pohledu přesnosti a správnosti a nejhorší z pohledu všech 4 parametrů to byly výsledky pro stanovení draslíku a sodíku. Vzhledem k vysoké chybě správnosti byla data pro sodík a draslík použita jen jako orientační. V řece Ostravici byla v rámci této práce stanovena průměrná koncentrace jednotlivých iontů těžkých kovů. Kadmium se v řece vyskytovalo v průměru 0,932 ?g/l, měď v průměru 25,69 ?g/l, nikl (15,732 ?g/l), olovo (26,68 ?g/l), zinek (0,02 ?g/l) a koncentrace pro chrom a rtuť se nacházely pod limitem kvantifikace používaných metod. Dle hodnocení jakosti vody dle tříd, podle normy ČSN 7551, je voda nejvíce znečištěna olovnatými, kademnatými a měďnatými ionty.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with monitoring the content of heavy metal ions in the river Ostravice. The aim was to create and verify methods for the determination of selected heavy metal ions and to determine the amount of selected ions in the river and whether they meet the limits of the state norms. Sampling was performed under the weir and above the weir from the river Ostravice in Komenského sady in the close presence of the hydrological station. The samples were analyzed by atomic absorption spectrometry with electrothermal atomization, flame AAS and cold vapor method. The best results in terms of quantification limits (LOQ) were the results of zinc (0.008 /g / l), cadmium (0.065 ?g / l) and mercury (0.372 ?g / l). And the worst in terms of LOQ were the values obtained for nickel (10.669 /g / l) and copper (5.694 ?g / l). In terms of accuracy, the best determinations include zinc (0.386%), nickel (0.575%) and copper (0.568%) and the worst lead (2.691%) and chromium (3.81%). The best results in terms of accuracy are provided by the determination of cadmium (0.328%, mercury (0.63%) and chromium (0.912%) and the worst results by the determination of copper (20.183%) and lead (13.775%). The best results regarding the major metals are, in terms of the quantification and detection limit, those of the calcium and magnesium, likewise in terms of accuracy and precision and the worst in terms of all 4 parameters were the results for the determination of potassium and sodium. Due to the high error of accuracy, the data for sodium and potassium were used as a guide. In the river Ostravice, the average concentration of individual heavy metal ions was determined in this work. Cadmium was present in the river 0.932 ?g / l on average, copper 25.69 ?g / l on average, nickel (15.732 ?g / l), lead (26.68 ?g / l), zinc (0.02 ?g / l) and concentrations for chromium and mercury were below the limit of quantification of the methods used. According to the evaluation of water quality based on the Czech state norm 7551 classes, water is most polluted with lead, cadmium and copper ions.
