Attitudes of science teachers towards the return of the wolf to the cultural landscape of Broumovsko

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání postojů učitelů přírodovědných předmětů na základních školách v oblasti Broumovska k návratu vlků do kulturní krajiny. Cílem práce je detailně mapovat a porozumět postojům těchto učitelů v rámci environmentální výchovy. Metodologický přístup práce vychází z analýzy rozhovorů a pozorování, což umožní získání hloubkového vhledu do jejich názorů a vnímání problematiky návratu vlků. Práce se dále soustředí na interpretaci zjištěných postojů a jejich začlenění do kontextu regionálního managementu vlků, přičemž analytický přístup pomůže lépe porozumět a efektivněji řídit tuto problematiku v dané lokalitě. Hlavním cílem je přinést nové poznatky a perspektivy do diskuse o soužití člověka a vlků v kulturní krajině Broumovska a přispět k rozvoji environmentální výchovy ve školním prostředí, která zohledňuje aktuální ekologické výzvy a potřeby regionu.

Abstract:

This master's thesis focuses on exploring the attitudes of science teachers at elementary schools in the Broumovsko area towards the return of wolves to the cultural landscape. The aim of the thesis is to thoroughly map and understand the attitudes of these teachers within the framework of environmental education. The methodological approach of the thesis is based on the analysis of interviews and observations, which allows for gaining in-depth insights into their opinions and perceptions of the issue of wolf reintroduction. The work also focuses on interpreting the discovered attitudes and integrating them into the context of regional wolf management, where the analytical approach will help better understand and manage this issue more effectively in the given locality. The main goal is to bring new insights and perspectives to the discussion about the coexistence of humans and wolves in the cultural landscape of Broumovsko and contribute to the development of environmental education in the school environment, which takes into account current ecological challenges and regional needs.
