Software solution of geographic 3D visualization

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci se zabývám návrhem a implementací distribuovaného systému, určeného k~3D vizualizaci dynamicky získávaných geografických dat z~chytrých telefonů s~GPS. Systém má dva základní úkoly. Prvním úkolem je sledování a zaznamenávání GPS souřadnic jednotlivých připojených zařízení a vizualizace jejich trajektorie v~reálném čase. Druhým je aproximaxe zaznamenaných dat a dynamické generování 3D modelu terénu odpovídajícího aktuálně dostupným datům. Na začátku práce vysvětluji technologie a techniky používané při 3D vizualizaci (s~důrazem na nVidia 3D Vision\R a \DX, které tvoří základní technologické kameny klientské části implementace aplikace). Tuto kapitolu dělím na část hardwarovou a část softwarovou. Hlavními částmi této práce jsou vlastní návrh systému a jeho následná reálná implementací.

Abstract:

In this bachelor's thesis I~deal with the design and implementation of a distributed system, designated to 3D visualization of dynamically acquired geographic data from the GPS enabled smartphones. The system has two basic objectives. The first objective tracking and recording GPS position of the connected devices and visualize their trajectory in real time. The second one is to approximate the recorded data and dynamically generate 3D model of the terrain acording to actually available data. In the beginning I~do explain the technologies and techniques used to display 3D data (with an emphasis on nVidia 3D vision and \DX 3D, which are the fundamental underlying technologies that support my client application)., this chapter is divided to hardware part and software part. The main part of this thesis is my own design of the system and then its real implementation.
