First psychosocial assistance during interventions of emergency medical services

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou vhodného jednání posádky Zdravotnické záchranné služby s psychicky zasaženými osobami během poskytování přednemocniční neodkladné péče. Postihuje také možnosti další psychosociální podpory a péče v rámci místní působnosti. Úvodní kapitoly jsou věnovány vztahu záchranné služby k problematice a tématům stres, krize a truchlení, jejichž obsah přibližuje prožívání a chování psychicky zasažených. Dále se autorka věnuje zhodnocení očekávání veřejnosti vzhledem ke schopnosti záchranářů uspokojit sledované potřeby a to na základě výsledků dotazníků, směřovaných k laické veřejnosti a k posádkám Zdravotnické záchranné služby Olomouckého kraje. Zde se potvrdily předpoklady, že laická veřejnost od záchranářů očekává schopnost vhodného jednání s psychicky zasaženými, založenou na cíleném školení v této problematice a dále sdělení informací o vhodných navazujících službách. Avšak záchranáři v důsledku nedostatku informací a teoretických znalostí nejsou schopni jejich očekávání zcela naplnit. Následně autorka vytvořila shrnutí, jak se při jednání s psychicky zasaženými chovat a čeho se vyvarovat. V další kapitole mapuje zajištění této problematiky v rámci jiných složek integrovaného záchranného systému a navrhuje možnosti mezirezortní spolupráce. Poslední část je věnována organizacím, poskytujícím psychosociální služby v Olomouckém kraji, jejichž seznam a charakteristika jsou zpracovány v příloze. Během tvorby bakalářské páce se ukázalo, že poskytování psychosociální pomoci v podmínkách přednemocniční neodkladné péče má mezery, pramenící z nedostatku teoretické přípravy, školení a vhodné literatury. Avšak záchranáři mají zájem se v této problematice vzdělávat. Bakalářská práce tedy pro ně může být uceleným zdrojem teoretických i praktických informací, ze kterých mohou čerpat při své každodenní práci.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the proper conduct of emergency medical services with the psychically affected persons during the provision of emergency pre-hospital care. It also affects the possibility of further psychosocial assistance and care within the local jurisdiction. The initial chapters are devoted to the relation of Emergency Medical Services to issues and themes of stress, depression and mourning, the content closers to the experience and behavior psychically affected. In addition, the author presents an evaluation of the public's expectations due to the ability of paramedic to satisfy monitored needs and based on the results of questionnaires directed at the general public and the crews of Emergency Medical Services of Olomouc Region. There are confirmed the assumptions that the general public expects paramedics capability of suitable dealing with psychically affected, based on targeted training in this area and the communication of information about appropriate follow-up services. But paramedics due to lack of information and theoretical knowledge are not able to completely fulfill their expectations. Subsequently, the author created a summary of how to behave in dealing with psychically affected and what to avoid. The next chapter focuses on ensuring issues in the context of other konstituent sof Integrated rescue system and suggests avenues for interdepartmental cooperation. The last section is devoted to organizations providing psychosocial services in the Olomouc region, its list and characteristics are processed in the annex. During the creation of bachelor thesis it has shown that the provision of psychosocial support in terms of emergency pre-hospital care has had defects arising from a lack of theoretical preparation, training and appropriate literature. But paramedics are interested to educate in this issue. Therfore bachelor thesis can be for them a comprehensive source of theoretical and practical information on which they can draw in their daily work.
