Occupational therapy in the Retirement home aimed at the training of cognitive functions

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje problematice týkající se ergoterapie v domovech pro seniory zaměřená na trénink kognitivních funkcí. Práce byla vytvořena na podkladech zpracovaných z odborné literatury a zdrojů. Zpracováním těchto informací se zabývá teoretická část. Teoretická část se dále dělí na obecnou, která se zabývá gerontologií, geriatrií, specifikace stárnutí a stáří, definice stárnutí a stáří, pojetí stárnutí, kognitivními funkcemi, poruchami kognitivních funkcí a stavem kognitivních funkcí v závislosti na věku. Další částí v teoretické oblasti je část speciální, která se zaměřuje na pobytová zařízení, využití ergoterapie v domově pro seniory a motivace klienta k aktivizaci. Kromě teoretické části obsahuje tato bakalářská práce také hlavní část, která se věnuje ergoterapii v Domově pro seniory Písečná a využití ergoterapie na konkrétním klientovi s kognitivním deficitem.

Abstract:

This bachelor work deals with issues related to occupational therapy in retirement homes aimed at the training of cognitive functions. The bachelor work was created based on informations processed from scientific literature sources. Processing of this information is included in the theoretical part. The theoretical part is further divided into general part, which is engaged in gerontology, geriatrics, aging and old age specifications, definition of aging and old age, the concept of aging, cognitive impairment, cognitive status and cognitive functions depending on age. In the theoretical part is also a special section focused on residential facilities, use of occupational therapy in retirement home and client's motivation for activation. Beside the theoretical part of this bachelor work there is also a main part, which focuses on occupational therapy in retirement home Písečná and use of occupational therapy for a particular client with cognitive deficits.
