Factors Affecting the Learning Process of Secondary Schools Students

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma „Faktory ovlivňující proces učení u žáků středních škol“ má za cíl zjistit, jaké faktory ovlivňují žáka v procesu učení nejvíce, zda je to motivace/ demotivace, prokrastinace, pozornost, výukové metody a styly učitelů a jako důležitý činitel ovlivňující pozornost žáků pro empirickou část jsou sociální sítě a moderní technologie. Diplomová práce se skládá ze dvou částí. Jedna část je teoretická a druhá empirická. Cílem teoretické části je definovat a popsat pojem motivace, motivace k učení a prokrastinace a s nimi pojmy spojené. Součástí teoretické části je i definice činitelů ovlivňujících ať už vnější/ vnitřní motivaci nebo prokrastinaci, pozornost, hospodaření s časem, komunikace učitele, vyučovací styly a metody učitelů. Dále sociální sítě a moderní technologie. Teoretická část je vypracovávaná na základě získaných informací z odborných zdrojů. Empirická část je zpracována pomocí dotazníkového šetření a jejím cílem je zjistit, zda jsou žáci středních škol motivováni k učení, jak moc zasahuje prokrastinace do žákova učebního procesu a v neposlední řadě, jakou roli v učebním procesu žáka hrají sociální sítě. Data byla získána pomocí výzkumného šetření, které bylo provedeno předáním dotazníku učitelkám na jistých středních odborných školách i pomocí internetového portálu survio.cz a šířeno pomocí sociální sítě. Výsledky jsou zpracovány do tabulek a grafů s následným popisem. Na základě zjištěných výsledků je formulován závěr.

Abstract:

The thesis on "Factors affecting the learning process of secondary school students" aims to find out what factors affect the student in the learning process most whether it is motivation/demotivation, procrastination, attention, teaching methods and teacher styles and as an important factor affecting the attention of students for the empirical part are social networks and modern technology. The thesis consists of two parts. One part is theoretical and the other is practical. The aim of the theoretical part is to define and describe the concept of motivation, motivation to learn and procrastination and the concepts related to them. The theoretical part includes the definition of factors affecting either extrinsic, intrinsic motivation or procrastina-tion, attention, time management, teacher communication and teaching styles and methods and social networks with modern technology. The theoretical part is elaborated on the basis of information obtained from professional sources. The practical part is elaborated by means of a questionnaire survey and its aim is to find out whether secondary school students are motivated to learn, how much procrastination interferes in the student's learning process and last but not least, what role social networks play in the student's learning process. The data was collected by means of an exploratory survey conducted by giving a questionnaire to teachers in certain secondary schools as well as by using the internet portal survio.cz and disseminated by means of a social network. The results are processed into tables and graphs with subsequent descriptions. Based on the results, a conclusion is formulated.
