Diplomová práce zjišťuje dopady institucí na parlamentní zastoupení žen v subsaharské Africe. Vychází z dosavadního výzkumu, který identifikoval volební systém a genderové kvóty jako nejdůležitější faktory politické rekrutace žen. The thesis explores the impact of institutions on women’s parliamentary representation in the sub-Saharan Africa. Electoral systems and gender quotas are considered to be the most important predictors of women’s political recruitment, however, their effectiveness has not been yet verified in the African context.
