Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci jsem zkoumala vztahy mezi emoční inteligencí, sociální inteligencí a?životní spokojeností u 193 vysokoškolských studentů z různých univerzit České republiky. K?měření těchto konstruktů byly použity následující dotazníky a škály: Dotazník rysové emoční inteligence - Krátká forma od Petridese, Troms? Škála Sociální inteligence od Silvera, Martinussena a Dahla, Dotazník životní spokojenosti od Fahrenberga, Myrtka, Schumachera a?Brühlera a Škála sociální žádoucnosti od Stöbera. Výsledky ukázaly silnou pozitivní korelaci mezi rysovou emoční inteligencí a životní spokojeností. Regresní analýza potvrdila, že rysová emoční inteligence je významným prediktorem životní spokojenosti nad rámec sociální žádoucnosti. To naznačuje, že studenti s?vyšší rysovou emoční inteligencí mají tendenci zažívat větší životní spokojenost. Zatímco dimenze sociální inteligence: sociální dovednosti a sociální povědomí vykazovaly nízkou až střední korelaci s?životní spokojeností, zpracování sociálních informací statisticky významný vztah nevykazovalo. Zajímavé je, že podle regresní analýzy pouze zpracování sociálních informací unikátně přispělo k?vysvětlování životní spokojenosti nad rámec účinků rysové emoční inteligence a sociální žádoucnosti. Analýza odhalila, že vyšší úroveň zpracování sociálních informací byla spojena s?nižší životní spokojeností Závěrem lze říct, že tento výzkum zdůrazňuje významný vliv rysové emoční inteligence na životní spokojenost u vysokoškolských studentů. Dopad dimenzí sociální inteligence se však zdá být méně výrazný, s?výjimkou zpracování sociálních informací.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I explored the relationships between trait emotional intelligence, social intelligence, and life satisfaction among 193 university students from various universities of Czech Republic. Following questionnaires and scales were used to measure these constructs: the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire - Short Form by Petrides, the Troms? Social Intelligence Scale by Silvera, Martinussen and Dahl, the Life Satisfaction Questionnaire by Fahrenberg, Myrtek, Schumacher and Brühler, and the Social Desirability Scale by Stöber. Results revealed a strong positive association between trait emotional intelligence and life satisfaction. Regression analysis confirmed that trait emotional intelligence is a significant predictor of life satisfaction over and above social desirability. This suggests that students with higher trait emotional intelligence tend to experience greater life satisfaction. While the dimensions of social intelligence: social skills and social awareness showed a low to moderate correlation with life satisfaction, social information processing did not show a statistically significant relationship. Interestingly, according to the regression analysis, only social information processing made a unique contribution to explaining life satisfaction beyond the effects of trait emotional intelligence and social desirability. The analysis revealed that higher levels of social information processing were associated with lower life satisfaction. In conclusion, this research highlights the significant influence of trait emotional intelligence on life satisfaction among university students. The impact of social intelligence dimensions, however, appears less pronounced, except social information processing.
