Seasonal dynamics and abundance of Lepidoptera pests in the Ivančice region

Abstract:

Během vegetační sezóny 2021 (22.4.–15.11.) bylo sledováno druhové složení, početnost a sezónní dynamika motýlích škůdců na Ivančicku (jižní Morava). Monitorování probíhalo pomocí světelného lapače, jako zdroj světla byla použita úsporná UV žárovka BeamZ 25 W 230 V. Bylo odchyceno 485 druhů řádu motýlů (Lepidoptera) náležících do 36 čeledí, v celkovém počtu 5 170 jedinců, z toho 99 druhů v počtu 1 513 jedinců je považovaných za škůdce (20 % z odchycených druhů a 29 % jedinců). Nejpočetnější byli škůdci polních a zahradních plodin (34 druhů a 1 065 jedinců), dále škůdci sadů (26 druhů a 127 jedinců), škůdci okrasných rostlin (23 druhů a 111 jedinců) a významný podíl tvořili také skladištní škůdci (21 druhů a 210 jedinců). Vůbec nejpočetnějšími druhy škůdců byli osenice černé c (Xestia c-nigrum) (295 jedinců), různorožec trnkový (Peribatodes rhomboidaria) (180), osenice vykřičníková (Agrotis exlamationis) (94), zavíječ kukuřičný (Ostrinia nubulalis) (78) a zápředníček polní (Plutella xylostella) (54). U škodlivých druhů s vyšší početností byla vyhodnocena sezónní dynamika. Kvůli chladnému jaru byl výskyt většiny druhů fenologicky zřetelně zpožděný. Rok 2021 byl v početnosti motýlích škůdců podprůměrný a žádný z druhů nedosáhl nápadně vysoké dominance vedoucí k výraznější škodlivosti. Na základě výsledků roku 2021 lze v roce 2022 očekávat zvýšený výskyt různorožce trnkového (Peribatodes rhomboidaria), můry kapustové (Lacanobia oleracea), zavíječe kukuřičného (Ostrinia nubilalis) a zavíječe zimostrázového (Cydalima perspectalis). Byly vyhodnoceny trofické a biotopové nároky zjištěných druhů, zoogeografické složení a základní synekologické ukazatele – druhová dominance, Shannonův-Wienerův index druhové diverzity (H = 5,03), ekvitabilita (e = 0,81) a index druhové pestrosti (d = 56,63). Kromě škůdců a řady indiferentních druhů bylo zaznamenáno také více faunisticky pozoruhodných druhů (např. Trichophaga scandinaviella, Crocidosema plebejana, Monochroa conspersella, Gelechia sabinellus, Odontognophos dumetata, Scopula flaccidaria, Dicranura ulmi, Meganephria bimaculosa, Eremobia ochroleuca, Apamea unanimis, Agrotis bigramma a Spaelotis ravida).

Abstract:

During the vegetation season of the year 2021 (22th April–15th November) were monitored the species composition, abundance and seasonal dynamics of Lepidoptera pests in the Ivančice region (South Moravia). The monitoring was carried out using a light trap, the energy saving UV bulb BeamZ 25 W 230 V was used as the light source. Were captured 485 species of the order of Lepidoptera belonging to 36 families, a total of 5 170 individuals, of which 99 species in the number of 1 513 individuals are considered pests (20 % of the captured species and 29 % of individuals). The most numerous were pests of field and garden crops (34 species and 1 065 individuals), then pests of orchards (26 species and 127 individuals), pests of ornamental plants (23 species and 111 individuals) and a significant share were also stored pests (21 species and 210 individuals). The most numerous species of pests were Xestia c-nigrum (295 individuals), Peribatodes rhomboidaria (180), Agrotis exlamationis (94), Ostrinia nubulalis (78) and Plutella xylostella (54). Seasonal dynamics was evaluated for harmful species with higher abundance. Due to the cold spring, the occurrence of most species was phenologically markedly delayed. The year 2021 was below average in the number of Lepidoptera pests and none of the species reached a remarkably high dominance leading to more significant harmfulness. Based on the results of 2021 can be expected in 2022 an increased occurrence of the Peribatodes rhomboidaria, Lacanobia oleracea, Ostrinia nubilalis and Cydalima perspectalis. The trophic and habitat requirements of the identified species, zoogeographical composition and basic synecological indicators were evaluated – species dominance, Shannon-Wiener index of species diversity (H = 5,03), equitability (e = 0,81) and index of species variety (d = 56,63). In addition to pests and a number of indifferent species have also been reported several faunistically remarkable species (e.g. Trichophaga scan-dinaviella, Crocidosema plebejana, Monochroa conspersella, Gelechia sabinellus, Odontognophos dumetata, Scopula flaccidaria, Dicranura ulmi, Meganephria bimaculosa, Eremobia ochroleuca, Apamea unanimis, Agrotis bigramma and Spaelotis ravida).
