Shear strength of selected anisotropic rocks

Abstract:

Cílem práce je změření pevnosti fylitu ve střihu při zjištěných úhlech vzhledem k foliaci 0°, 60°, 75° a 90° a směru střihu jednotlivých vrtných jader 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75° a 90°, při zatížení normálovým napětím o hodnotě 10,0 kN. Ve výsledcích docházelo k velkému rozptylu naměřených hodnot. Hlavní význam spatřuji v orientaci foliace. Když byla plocha střihu paralelně s foliací, hodnoty pevnosti od nulového směru střihu stoupaly až po natočení vzorku na 60°, od této hodnoty měly až do 90° sestupnou tendenci. U zbývajících orientací foliace, které byly testovány v této práci a to 60°, 75° a 90° bylo dosaženo shodně stoupající tendence. Při přepočtu pevnosti horniny na plochu povrchu vzorku můžeme říct, že vzorky byly vystaveny konstantní hodnotě 22,1 MPa (normálová síla 10,0 kN) a smyková síla se pohybovala v rozmezí hodnot od 12,4 MPa do 37,6 MPa (5,6 kN až 17,0 kN).

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to measure the strength of phyllite in shear with respect to foliation at detected angles of 0°, 60°, 75°, 90° and to the direction of shear of individual drill cores at angles of 0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90°, when a normal stress of 10,0 kN load is aplied. A large variability of the measured values can be seen within the results. The main importance could have the foliation orientation. When the surface of a shear was paralleled to foliation, the strength values rose from 0° to the direction of rotation of the sample at 60°, from this value they had downward tendency up to 90°. For the remaining foliation orientation, which were tested in this study (60°, 75° and 90°), an identically upward tendency was seen. By the recalculation of the strength of rock to the surface area of the sample we can say, that the samples were exposed to the constant value of 22,1 MPa (normal force 10,0 kN) and the shear force values ranged from 12,4 MPa to 37,6 MPa (5,6 kN to 17,0 kN).
