Health care in textbooks of the first grade of elementary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na obsahovou analýzu učebnic 1. stupně základní školy z pohledu péče o zdraví. Hlavním cíle práce je přinést ucelený pohled na to, jaké zastoupení má téma Péče o zdraví v učebnicích a pracovních sešitech předmětu Člověk a jeho svět, respektive Prvouka a Přírodověda. Především pak zjistit, zda učebnice dostatečně reflektují dané téma a zda je v rámci možností využito cyklické osnování učiva v jednotlivých učebnicových řadách. Na základě zmíněné obsahové analýzy učebnic bylo zjištěno, že se jednotlivé řady svým zpracováním liší. Zejména v některých řadách je největší pozornost věnována člověku jako takovému, ale již méně pozornosti je upíráno k získání dostatečných stravovacích návyků a informací o zdravé výživě. Nejméně pak je zpracováno téma týkající se návykových látek a prevenci jejich užívání. V dnešní době považuji téma návykových látek a především zařazení jejich prevence za nezbytně nutné. V učebnicích je však jen nastíněno, v některých se nevyskytuje vůbec. Přínos této práce vidím v tom, že může učitelům pomoci v rozhodování při volbě nejvhodnější učebnice minimálně z pohledu péče o zdraví. Současně pak tvůrcům učebnic v doporučení toho, kde jsou ve zmíněném tématu nedostatky.

Abstract:

The thesis is focused on the content analysis the health care in textbooks of the first grade of elementary school. The main goal of the work is to bring a comprehensive view of how the topic Health Care is represented in the textbooks and workbooks of the subject Human and his World, respective Natural Science. The first is find whether the textbooks sufficiently reflect the given topic and is there use the cyclical curriculum in individual textbook series. Based on the aforementioned content analysis, it was found that the individual series differ in their processing. Especially in some series, the greatest attention is paid to the human as such, but less attention is given to acquiring nutrition habits and information about healthy nutrition. The topic related to addictive substances and the prevention of their use is treated the least. Nowadays, I consider the topic of addictive substances and the inclusion of their prevention to be absolutely necessary. However, this topic is only outlined in textbooks, in some it does not appear at all. I can see the benefit of this thesis in that it can help teachers in choosing the textbooks, at least from the point of view the Health care. Finally, the thesis give recommendation to the creators of the textbook where there are shortcomings in the mentioned topic.
