The Use of Traffic Telematics in Traffic Management in Residential Areas

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím dopravní telematiky při řízení provozu v sídelních oblastech. Úkolem je provést rešerši odborné literatury a následně uskutečnit srovnání řídících systémů.V první části práce je popsána činnost inteligentního dopravního systému. Blíže jsou vysvětleny subsystémy sledování polohy vozidel, komunikační systémy řízení provozu a systém poskytování informací. Dále jsou v práci popsány metody matematické statistiky použité pro srovnání dvou odlišných řídících systémů.V druhé části jsou vybrány dva datové soubory, které jsou statisticky vyhodnoceny pomocí neparametrického párového Wilcoxonova testu. Výsledky prokazují vliv inteligentních dopravních systémů na zlepšení provozu v sídelních oblastech.Přínosem práce je vymezený postup, kterým můžeme srovnávat dva různé řídící systémy. Metodu lze využít při rozhodování jaký systém aplikovat, nebo při zhodnocení zvoleného řešení.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the use of traffic telematics at the traffic management in residential areas. The assignment is to search a professional literature and make a comparison of managerial systems.The first part of the thesis describes the workings of the intelligent transport system. The subsystems of vehicle position monitoring, communication systems of traffic management and information system are explained in more de-tail. Further the thesis describes methods of mathematical statistics used for comparison of two different control systems.In the second part two data files are selected, which are evaluated with the nonparametric paired Wilcoxon test. The results demonstrate the impact of intelligent transport systems on the traffic density in residential areas.The contribution of this thesis is a defined procedure by which can be compared two different control systems. The method can be used in deciding which system to apply or in evaluating the chosen solution.
