Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá mediální prezentací brněnských Němců a jejich poválečným vysídlením. Pro diskurzivní analýzu byly vybrány mediální texty ze tří brněnských deníků zastupujících tzv. Socialistický blok Národní fronty, kterými jsou komunistická Rovnost, sociálnědemokratický Čin a národně socialistické Svobodné slovo. Jelikož byli Němci z Brna vysídleni již na konci května 1945, bylo zkoumané období ohraničeno prvním vydáním deníků a počátkem Postupimské konference, která legitimizovala odsun Němců z celého Československa. V tomto krátkém období zachytila stranická tištěná média proces vedoucí k vysídlení Němců z Brna, při kterém byl zároveň vytvářen jejich obraz. V této předkládané práci jsou definovány a analyzovány mechanismy utváření mediálního obrazu brněnských Němců a jejich odsunu bezprostředně po druhé světové válce. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou, která seznamuje čtenáře s historií česko-německý vztahů završenou odsunem, a s metodami, které jsou aplikovány ve druhé části práce. Tato analytická část odkrývá diskurzivní modely, které jsou v médiích utvářeny.

Abstract:

This thesis discusses the media presentation of the German population based in Brno and their afterwar displacement. The main method used in this paper is the discursive analysis of print media of three of Brno’s newspapers representing the so-called Socialist part of the National Front. These are communist “Rovnost“, social-democratic “Čin” and national-socialist “Svobodné slovo.“ Due to the fact that the German population was displaced from Brno in as early as late May 1945, the examined period is framed by the first edition of these papers and by the beginning of the Postupim Conference, which legitimized the displacement of Germans from all of Czechoslovakia. During this short period, a politically engaged print media was able to capture the process leading to the displacement of the German populace from Brno. It was also during this process that the image of the German community was clearly outlined. This paper defines and analyses the mechanisms that helped to create the media image of Germans based in Brno, and their displacement, which took place shortly after the Second World War. The thesis consists of the theoretical part, presenting the history of Czech-German relations, concluding with the latter’s expulsion, and of the methods used, which are applied in the second part of the paper. This second analytical part reveals the discursive models created by the media.
