Súdne lekárstvo je jednou zo základných medicínskych disciplín, ktoré majú neoddeliteľný aspekt práva. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je priblížiť historický vývoj súdneho lekárstva, vymedziť termín súdne lekárstvo a náplň činností tohto odboru a následne popísať tieto činnosti vo svetle ich využitia pre trestno-právne účely.
