Business logistics: analysis of a problem in a company and its solution

Abstract:

The diploma work deals with a description, analysis and evaluating of warehousing with a focus on resourcing and stock managment. Theoretical part of this work is describing theoretical knowledge and terms of stock management. Current process of stock managment and warehousing are described in practical part of this work. Problematic parts as large stocks and uneffective warehouse management processes are identified by analysis. The diploma works contain proposals to streamline the process of income by introduction of barcodes and inventory optimization by introducing the kanban concept. Objective of the proposed solutions is optimization of problematic parts, which will result in a reduction of business costs and improving the current state of the company.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá popisom, analýzou a zhodnotením skladového hospodárstva so zameraním na problematiku riadenia zásob a skladových procesov. Teoretická časť práce vysvetľuje teoretické poznatky a termíny z oblasti skladovania a riadenia zásob. V praktickej časti je rozobraný súčasný proces riadenia zásob a skladových procesov. Prostredníctvom analýz sú identifikované problematické miesta, ktorými sú vysoké skladové zásoby a neefektívne riadenie skladovacích procesov v oblasti príjmu materiálu. Práca obsahuje návrhy na zefektívnenie procesu príjmu zavedením čiarových kódov a optimalizáciu zásob zavedením koncepcie kanban. Cieľom navrhovaných riešení je optimalizácia problémových miest, ktorá bude mať za následok zníženie podnikových nákladov a zlepšeniu súčasného stavu podniku.The diploma work deals with a description, analysis and evaluating of warehousing with a focus on resourcing and stock managment.
