Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat míru intimity ve vztahu mezi věřícími a Bohem v dřívějších (~17–18. století) chvalozpěvech a současných novodobých chválách v USA. The primary goal of the diploma thesis is to analyze the degree of intimacy in the relationship between believers and God in the early and current worship sung in the U.S. The thesis has two parts – the theoretical part refers about the role of religion in human life, defines discourse and the discourse analysis, and deals with methods used by discourse analysts.
