This thesis is focused on the use of English words in selected Czech magazine advertisements. The theoretical part deals with the topic of advertising, its division, but examines also print media, especially magazines. The strategies used in magazine advertisements as well as the structure of print advertisements are also clarified. Tato bakalářská práce je zaměřena na užití anglických slov v reklamách vybraných českých časopisů. Teoretická část práce se zabývá reklamní činností a jejím rozdělením. Z tiskových médií se věnuje zejména časopisům. Dále jsou objasněny také strategie využívané v časopiseckých reklamách společně se strukturou tištěné reklamy.
