The Antihero figure and the concept of daraku in the work of Dazai Osamu and Sakaguchi Ango

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na postavu antihrdiny v dílech Dazai Osamua a Sakaguči Anga a jejich vykreslení v konceptu daraku (morální úpadek). V teoretické části je rozebírán pojem antihrdina a jeho podoba v různých obdobích, dále koncept daraku skrze význam slova, souvislost s dekadencí a pojetí daraku u Sakaguči Anga. Následně jsou představeny životy obou autorů. Praktická část je věnována analýze, kde je zkoumán an-tihrdina v dílech Selhání od Dazai Osamua a Pod rozkvetlými květy sakurového lesa od Sakaguči Anga. Cílem je zjistit, jakými projevy se na postavě odráží koncept daraku, a na co se u nich autoři zaměřili. Výsledek výzkumu je, že Dazai Osamu ve svém díle zobrazil postavu antihrdiny, který upadá stále, a Sakaguči Ango se zaměřil na antihrdinu, který představuje s pádem spojenou samotu, a který skrze její uvědomění na konci příběhu do-jde k zotavení z pádu.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis is focused on the antihero figure in the work of Dazai Osamu and Sakaguchi Ango and their portrayal of the concept daraku (moral downfall). The theoret-ical part discusses the concept of antihero and its form in different periods, next the con-cept daraku through the meaning of the word, connection with decadence and Sakaguchi Angoˊs point of view of daraku. Next, the lives of authors are introduced. The practical part is devoted to analysis, where the antihero is examined in the work No longer human by Dazai Osamu and In the woods beneath the cherry blossoms in full bloom by Sakagu-chi Ango. The aim is to find out what manifestations reflect the concept of daraku on the character and what the authors focused on. The result of the research is that Dazai Osamu portrayed in his work the figure of the antihero who falls constantly in his work, and Sakaguchi Ango focused on the antihero, who represents loneliness which comes with moral downfall, and who through this awareness at the end of the story, recovers from the downfall.
