Teaching Computer Networks in a Simulation Software Environment Using the Method of Research-Oriented Teaching

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na zpracování úloh pro výuku počítačových sítí na středních školách v prostředí simulačního softwaru prostřednictvím badatelsky oriento-vané výuky. Součástí práce jsou vytvořené úlohy v simulačním softwaru s návodem k řešení, s možností automatického hodnocení a s otestovaným řešením. K úlohám jsou připojeny také pracovní listy. V teoretické části je popsána badatelsky orientované výuky. V praktické části je proveden výzkum nejčastěji používaných simulačních softwarů pou-žívaných k výuce na středních školách. Poté je vytvořen návod, jak se simulačním soft-warem zacházet a postup řešení jednotlivých úloh. V závěru je zpětná vazba od učitelů i studentů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the processing of tasks for teaching computer networks at secondary schools in the environment of simulation software through Inquiry Based Education. Part of the work are tasks created in simulation software with instructi-ons for solving them, with the possibility of automatic evaluation and with a tested solu-tion. Worksheets are also attached to the tasks. The Inquiry Based Education is described in the theoretical part. In the practical part, research is carried out on the most frequently used simulation software used for teaching in secondary schools. After that, instructions are created on how to handle the simulation software and the procedure for solving indi-vidual tasks. At the end there is feedback from teachers and students.
