Memory management with Shenandoah GC on desktop computers
Abstract:
Cílem této práce bylo prostudovat problematiku automatické správy paměti ve virtuálním stroji Javy a nově vyvíjeného správce paměti Shenandoah. Poté vytvořit syntetické zátěžové testy, na jejichž základě bude měřena a porovnána výkonnost jednotlivých správců paměti. Z výsledků je patrné, že správce Shenandoah je stále ve fázi vývoje a dosahoval tak prozatím nejslabší výkonnosti.
Abstract:
The aim of this bachelor thesis was to study the automatic garbage collection in Java Virtual Machine and newly developed garbage collector Shenandoah. Next aim of the thesis was to create benchmark tests, which were used for measurement and comparison of each garbage collector.
