Abstract:

Téma bakalářské práce je vyrovnávání se rodiny s diagnózou mentálně a tělesně postiženého dítěte. Tato práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a výzkumnou. V teoretické části se zabývám definicí mentálního a tělesného postižení, jejich epidemiologií, etiologií a klasifikací. Dále se zabývám definicí rodiny, reakcí rodiny na sdělení závažné diagnózy, zdravým sourozencem postiženého dítěte, procesem vyrovnávání a faktory, které proces vyrovnávání ovlivňují. Ve výzkumné části zjišťuji pomoci metody polostrukturovaného rozhovoru, jak se rodina vyrovnává s diagnózou mentálně a tělesně postiženého dítěte.

Abstract:

The topic of this thesis is the coping mechanism of a family after their child was diagnosed with a physical and intellectual disability. This thesis is divided into a theoretical and a research section. In the theoretical section I address the definition of an intellectual and physical disability and their epidemiology, etiology and classification. I further looked into the definition of a family, the reaction of a family to a serious diagnosis, the non-diagnosed sibling and the mechanism of coping and the factors that influence it. In the research section I used a semi-structured interview to gather information on how a family copes with the diagnosis of an intellectually and physically handicapped child.
