Knowledge of primary school pupils about the possibilities against unplanned parenthood

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Ústředním pojmem teoretické části je pojem antikoncepce. Kromě pojmu antikoncepce a popisu jednotlivých antikoncepčních metod se v práci lze setkat se stručnou anatomií a fyziologií mužských a ženských pohlavních orgánů, menstruačního a ovariálního cyklu. Dále se zabývá rešerší literatury vhodné pro výuku předmětu Výchova ke zdraví a zařazením výuky antikoncepce ve zmíněném předmětu dle ŠVP na základních školách zapojených do výzkumu. Praktická část bakalářské práce se zabývá informovaností žáků osmých a devátých tříd základních škol o metodách antikoncepce. Použitím kvantitativní metody výzkumu – dotazníku čítající 19 otázek se žáků dotazoval nejenom na význam antikoncepce, konkrétní druhy a jejich specifické vlastnosti, ale také kde se žáci poprvé dozvěděli o antikoncepci, dále zda jim základní škola poskytla dostatečné informace o daném tématu či zda snad sami vyzkoušeli nějakou metodu antikoncepce. Výsledky respondentů ze čtyř základních škol byly vyhodnoceny a zpracovány do tabulek a výsečových grafů. Každá tabulka byla doplněna autorčiným komentářem. Bakalářská práce se zabývá zjišťováním informovanosti žáků základních škol o možnostech ochrany před neplánovaným rodičovstvím.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts – theoretical and practical. The main term of the practical part is contraception. Besides contraception and description of individual contraceptive methods the work consists of a brief male and female genitals anatomy and physiology and menstrual and ovarian cycle. The work also deals with the textbooks retrieval suitable for Health Education lessons and with the enlistment of the contraception education in the lessons of Health Education according to the curricula at the primary schools engaged in the research. The practical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the foreknowledge of the 8th and the 9th grade primary school pupils about the contraceptive methods. The quantitative research method was used and the questionnaire consisted of 19 questions. The pupils were asked about the importance of contraception, specific types of contraception and its features. They were also asked about their first learning about contraception, if they were sufficiently informed at school or if they have already tried any contraceptive method themselves. The results of the respondents from four primary schools were evaluated and processed into tables and pie charts. Each table is commented by the author the bachelor thesis. The bachelor thesis concerns with primary school pupils foreknowledge about the possibilities against unplanned parenthood.
