INSIDE THE BLACK BOX AND THE WHITE CUBE

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá souvislostí divadelní dramaturgie a kurátorství, úvahami nad jejich společnými znaky a jejich využitím v kulturních institucích. V první části autorka uvažuje nad souvislostmi těchto dvou oborů a popisuje roli dramaturga/kurátora při tvorbě dlouhodobé vize institucí i v krátkodobých projektech (inscenacích, výstavách a dalších událostech). V druhé části se autorka věnuje popisu své vlastní zkušenosti v roli dramaturgyně/kurátorky při tvorbě konceptu nezávislé galerie v Jičíně. Představuje tak kulturní i historický kontext této tvorby a své vlastní dramaturgicko-kurátorské úvahy a rozhodnutí, ke kterým dospěla.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with relationship and connection between theatre dramaturgy and curating, reflections on common features of those and their use in cultural institutions. In the first part of the thesis is the author thinking about the connection of these two fields and describing a role of dramaturge/curator both in creating the long-time vision of institutions and short-time projects (productions, exhibitions and other events). In the second part of this work the author is describing her own personal experience in the role of dramaturge/curator while making a concept of an independent gallery in Jičín. She presents cultural and historical context of this work and her own dramaturgical–curatorial reflections and decisions which she made.
