Residential urban landscape

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se soustředí na možnosti podpory obytné funkce veřejných prostorů. Modelovým územím ke konkrétní aplikaci zjištěných prostředků je část Kobyliského náměstí v Praze. Stať práce je rozdělena do tří částí. První je teoretická část, která se věnuje definici souvisejících pojmů a průzkumu literárních pramenů pojednáváních o obytnosti městské krajiny a potažmo veřejných prostranství. Slouží k pochopení problematiky a definování základních principů pro následné navrhování. Průzkum možností konkrétního uplatnění těchto principů byl proveden prostřednictvím rešerše inspiračních realizací z České republiky i zahraničí. Druhá část předkládá analýzy modelového území nejprve v širším urbanistickém měřítku a následně se zaměřením na detailní řešené území. Analýzy byly vyhodnoceny a na jejich základě byly definovány východiska a základní principy pro návrhovou část. Třetí, návrhová, část je architektonickou studií veřejného prostoru Kobyliského náměstí v blízkosti Salesiánského centra s kostelem a divadlem. Návrh si klade za cíl adekvátní využití potenciálu místa a podporu obytnosti řešeného území skrze své provozně-funkční řešení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the possibilities of supporting the residential function of public spaces. The model area for concrete application of the identified means is a part of Kobyliska Square in Prague. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first is the theoretical part, which is devoted to the definition of related concepts and a survey of literary sources dealing with the livability of the urban landscape and, consequently, public spaces. It serves to understand the issues and define the basic principles for subsequent design. The research into the possibilities of concrete application of these principles was carried out through a search of inspirational realisations from the Czech Republic and abroad. The second part presents analyses of the model area, first on a broader urban scale and then focusing on the detailed area. The analyses were evaluated and on the basis of them the starting points and basic principles for the design part were defined. The third, design part is an architectural study of the public space of Kobyliska Square near the Salesian Centre with a church and theatre. The design aims to make adequate use of the potential of the site and to promote the livability of the area through its operational and functional design.
