This thesis deals with the European Free Trade Association and its gradual integration into the European Union. Both EFTA and the EU were founded in post-war Europe with the objective of economic prosperity through mutual cooperation of the Member States, this later resulted in mutual cooperation between the two units and the progressive incorporation of EFTA into the EU.
