Views and attitudes of selected students of secondary medical schools in Brno towards COVID-19 infodemic and disinformation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na problematiku covid-19 infodemie, blíže na dezinformace a misinformace ve spojitosti se studenty středních zdravotnických škol v Brně. V teoretické části je definováno, jak práce s pojmem dezinformace pracuje a kterou definici pro práci užívá. Dále přibližuje problematiku covid-19 pandemie a infodemie, rozebírá předešlé související výzkumy. Teoretická část, studium zdrojů k tematice a předešlé výzkumy byly použity jako zdroj inspirace pro vlastní výzkum této práce. Následuje praktická část, nastavení metodologie a samotný výzkum, podrobná analýza výsledků a jejich diskuse. Tato práce přiblížila, jaké pohledy a postoje se k dané tématice mezi studenty středních zdravotnických škol mohou vyskytovat, i když je pravděpodobné, že neobsáhla všechny možné. Vzhledem k povaze výsledků je není možné uvést přímo v anotaci. Může sloužit jako potřebný základ pro další výzkumy v této oblasti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of covid-19 infodemia, more specifically on disinformation and misinformation in connection with students of secondary medical schools in Brno. The theoretical part defines how the thesis works with the concept of disinformation and which definition is used for the thesis. It also introduces the issues of covid-19 pandemic and infodemia, and discusses previous related research. The theoretical part, the research of sources on the topic and previous research was used as source of inspiration for the actual research of this thesis. This is followed by the practical part, setting up the methodology and the research itself, a detailed analysis of the results and their discussion. This paper has approximated the views and attitudes that may be held among secondary medical students on the topic, although it is likely that it has not covered all possible ones. Due to the nature of the results, it is not possible to state them directly in the annotation. It may serve as a necessary basis for further research in this area.
