The problem of coping with stress and needs of care in a family with gastrointestinal sick child

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce bylo posoudit, jak rodiny s gastrointestinálně nemocným dítětem zvládají zátěžové situace a identifikovat faktory, které mají při zvládání zátěže v rodině největší význam. Zjistit jaká je potřeba rodičů týkající se oblasti informací o onemocnění dítěte v závislosti na délce trvání a klasifikaci onemocnění. Dále zmapovat jaká je potřeba rodičů týkající se oblasti podpory a financí. Metodika: Výzkumný soubor respondentů, tvořilo 131 rodičů dětí s vybraným gastrointestinálním onemocněním. Výzkum byl realizován ve vybraných gastroenterologických ambulancích v Ostravě a v občanských sdruženích pro pacienty. Zkoumající soubor dětí byl ve věkovém rozmezí od 2 do 15 let. Ke stanovení jednotlivých potřeb péče rodičů, byl použit standardizovaný dotazník Family Needs Survey. Míra zvládání zátěže u rodičů s nemocným dítětem, byla zhodnocena standardizovaným dotazníkem F-Copes. Výsledky: Rodiče nemocných dětí, bez ohledu na klasifikaci choroby, dosáhli v dotazníkovém šetření F- COPES průměrného skóre hodnoty 89,72, tato hodnota nasvědčuje jejich adaptivnímu chování. Ve zvládání zátěže se výrazně uplatňují interní copingové strategie a to zejména předefinování si problému, jako zvládnutelnější. Z dotazníkového šetření FNS vyplývá, že v rámci jednotlivých subškál, rodiče nejvíce potřebují pomoci v oblasti podpory a informací. Závěr: Gastrointestinální onemocnění výrazně zasahují do života nejen nemocných dětí, ale také do života celé jejich rodiny. Dětské sestry by měly být připraveny rodinám GIT nemocných dětí pomáhat, neboť výsledky této studie poukazují v této problematice na mírné rezervy. Jedná se zejména o poskytování větší osvěty z oblasti služeb a organizací, které jsou pro rodiče a jejich děti k dispozici, dále pak možnostech využití komunitních služeb a oblasti podpory. Abstract:

Aim: The aim of this diploma thesis was to examine how families with a sick child gastrointestinally handle stressful situations and to identify factors that have to cope with stress in the family of the greatest importance. Find out what is required of parents regarding the field of information about illness of a child, depending on the duration and classification of diseases. Further to what is the need of parents to support and finance. Methodology: Results: Parents of sick children, regardless of the classification of disease, reached in the survey F- COPES average score of 90, this value indicates the adaptive behavior. In coping with significantly applied internal coping strategies, especially redefine a problem as manageable. The survey FNS shows that within each subscale, parents most in need of assistance in the area of support and information. Conclusion: Gastrointestinal diseases significantly affects not the lifes only sick children, but also the life of the whole family. The results of this study suggest that healthcare professionals should be prepared to GIT families of sick children to help, because in this issue, there are still reserves.
