Abstract:

A N O T A C E ROZBOŘIL, B.: Současná sociologie umění. Brno: Fakulta sociálních studií. Masarykova univerzita. 2006. 231 stran Práce mapuje aktuální sociologii umění v kontextu uměnovědného bádání. Pozice sociologie umění v poli teorií je dána zejména vztahem k tradiční estetice a dějepisu umění. Napětí mezi odlišnými perspektivami těchto přístupů vyvstává v otázkách estetické specifičnosti umění, míry svobody či determinace aktérů, nadčasové podstaty nebo sociálně podmíněných proměn. Zatímco tradiční obory se ukázaly neadekvátní v konfrontaci s avantgardním uměním, sociologie se zdiskreditovala ambiciózními pokusy vztáhnout socio-ekonomické podmínky přímo k symbolickým formám. Práce chce ukázat možnosti sociologie právě při řešení problémů současného umění. To se vymanilo nejen z modu reprezentace, ale i z modu estetického. Práce dospívá k představě, že specifičnost umění sice sociologie nesmí popírat, nemá-li být reduktivní, může ovšem tuto specifičnost popisovat v sociologických pojmech. Shledává inspirativní mluvit spolu s Bourriaudem o sociální transparentnosti jako o vydělujícím charakteru současného umění. Možnosti sociologie jsou demonstrovány na komparaci Bourdieuovy teorie pole s Dickieho institucionální teorií. Práce pléduje za interdisciplinární projekty; v nich si však jednotlivé obory musí ponechat svůj svébytný charakter.

A B S T R A C T ROZBOŘIL, B.: The outline of the contemporary sociology of art. Brno: School of Social Studies. 2006. 231 pages This work is an overview of contemporary sociology of art in the context of art theory. The position of art in the field of art theories is established through its relation to traditional aesthetics and art history. The difference between the perspective of social sciences and the perspective of humanities brings a strong contradictions in the concerns of the aesthetic specificity of art, the degree of spontaneity or determination, of the transhistorical essence of art, (or) the socially conditioned transitions of form. While traditional aesthetics failed in its attemps to explain the avantgarde art; sociology of art discredited itself by its ambitious attemps to relate directly social-economic conditions to the symbolic form. This work wants to represent the applicability of sociology to the resolving the contemporary art aporia. Some of art streams have abandoned not only the mode of representation but also the mode of the aestehtic. This work comes to the notion that sociology should not deny the specificity of art if it is not to be reductive. It may, however, attempt to describe this specificity in terms of sociology. If we seek the distinctive, the specific character of art, we could use the Bourriauds term social transparency. The considering of Bourdieus field theory and Dickies institutional theory has shown both, the possibility of convergence and the advisability of keeping the peculiarity of the two branches.
