Analysis of the Activities of Insurance Intermediaries in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou činnosti pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů v České republice. V teoretické části práce je nejprve rozebrána právní úprava pojišťovnictví v České republice a následně je popsán vývoj počtu pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů v České republice. Touto analýzou byl zjištěný narůstající počet pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů v registrech ČNB. V praktické části práce byla následně analyzována činnost pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů v ČSOB Pojišťovně. Touto analýzou byly odhaleny nedostatky činnosti těchto pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů, a to zejména v oblasti etických zásad jejich práce a způsobu kontaktu s klienty. Na základě těchto zjištění byly formulovány návrhy a doporučení ke zvýšení efektivity práce pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů této pojišťovny. Přínosem této diplomové práce je tedy zmapování současné situace a současných podmínek v pojišťovnictví České republiky a zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti činnosti pojišťovacích zprostředkovatelů ve zkoumané společnosti, kterou je ČSOB Pojišťovna, a. s.

Abstract:

This thesis analyzes the activities of insurance intermediaries in the Czech Republic. The theory is first discussed insurance regulation in the Czech Republic and then describes the development of insurance intermediaries in the Czech Republic. This analysis has identified an increasing number of insurance brokers in the registers of the CNB. In the practical part of the work was subsequently analyzed the activities of insurance intermediaries in ČSOB Pojišťovna, a. s. This analysis revealed the lack of activity of insurance intermediaries, particularly in the area of ethical principles and how they work with clients. On the basis of these findings were formulated proposals and recommendations to improve the work efficiency of the insurance brokers insurance. The contribution of this thesis is to map the current situation and current conditions in the insurance Czech Republic and increase the competitiveness of the activities of insurance intermediaries in the studied company, the ČSOB Pojišťovna, a. s.
