Political system of the Czech Republic - its development and future

Abstract:

Vzhledem k poválečnému politickému vývoji v Československu musel být po sametové revoluci 1989 český politický systém utvářen od samých základů. Jelikož po dlouhém období totality zde panovala obava z politických stran, prvním politickým subjektem, který u občanů uspěl, bylo hnutí s názvem Občanské fórum. Po jeho rozpadu se v průběhu let vystřídaly u moci různé koalice stran vedené buď Občanskou demokratickou stranou, nebo Českou stranou sociálně demokratickou. Po více než 19 letech od pádu komunismu je dnes český politický systém plně pluralizovaný a demokratický. Jediným varováním do budoucna je postavení komunistické strany, která si dlouhodobě udržuje své místo v parlamentu a získává prozatímně částečný vliv na řízení naší země.

Abstract:

According to the post-war political development in the Czechoslovakia, the political system of the Czech Republic had to have been formatted from its base. As there was a fear of political parties after a long time of totalitarian regime, the first political subject, which succeeded, was the movement called The Civic Forum. After its break-up, there have been various coalitions led by The Civic Democratic Party or by The Czech Social Democratic Party, which alternated in being in power over the years. After more than 19 years from the fall of communism, the Czech political system is fully pluralized and democratic. The only warning for the future is the state of the Communist Party, which has been holding its sustainable position in the Parliament, and which gets temporarily influence on the government of our country.
