The analysis of CSR activities in a selected company

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá konceptem společenské odpovědnosti firem (CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility). Cílem práce je přiblížit pojetí této problematiky a analyzovat uplatňování principů CSR ve společnosti Synthesia, a. s. včetně zhodnocení nástrojů komunikace CSR aktivit. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny základní charakteristiky společenské odpovědnosti firem, její dosavadní vývoj a související koncepce a pojmy. Poté práce pojednává o přínosech společensky odpovědného podnikání a nástrojích komunikace CSR. Praktická část práce je zaměřena na společnost Synthesia, a. s. a její odpovědné chování vůči společnosti a prostředí, ve kterém podniká. Poté je provedena analýza vnímání společenské odpovědnosti firmy Synthesia, a. s. z pohledu zaměstnanců podniku a pardubické veřejnosti a pro společnost jsou stanovena vhodná doporučení pro zlepšení.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the concept of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The main goal of the thesis is to describe the issues connected with this concept and to analyse the CSR principles and communication tools in a Czech company Synthesia, a. s. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the main characteristics of corporate social responsibility, its development and related concepts and terms. It also concentrates on benefits of CSR and CSR communication tools. The practical part focuses on a company Synthesia, a. s. and its engagement in three pillars of CSR (economic, social and environmental). The additional aim of this part is to analyse the employee's and public perception of responsible manners of this company. Further to the findings valuable recommendations are stated.
