The analysis of employee benefits in a selected company and its influence on acquiring new employees from among the students ranks

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na zaměstnanecké výhody poskytované ve vybrané organizaci a jejich roli při výběru zaměstnání. Cílem práce je zhodnocení systému zaměstnaneckých výhod a jeho vlivu na získávání a udržení zaměstnanců z řad studentů nebo čerstvých absolventů. Téma práce je v zemi s nízkou nezaměstnaností a vysokou poptávkou po talentovaných pracovnících velmi aktuální. Na základě rešerše literatury je teoretická část rozdělena do tří sekcí, jež přispívají k pochopení dané problematiky. Praktická část analyzuje vybranou organizaci a její systém zaměstnaneckých výhod. Metodou sběru kvalitativních dat byl polostrukturovaný hloubkový rozhovor, jehož výstupy byly sepsány a vyhodnoceny pomocí softwarového programu MAXQDA. Na základě dat získaných z rozhovorů s juniorními pracovníky a shrnutí problémů, jsou navrhnuta doporučení podporující komunikaci benefitů, jenž by mohla vést k zvýšení spokojenosti zaměstnanců. Ze závěrů této práce může organizace čerpat při implementaci nových postupů.

Abstract:

The main focus of this thesis is employee benefits offered by a particular organisation and their influence on job selection. This work’s aim is to evaluate work benefits system and its influence on acquiring and retaining new employees from the ranks of students and graduates. The topic of employment is particularly important in a country with low unemployment rate and high demand for talented workers, like Czech Republic. The theoretical section of this thesis was further separated into three sub-sections in order to provide full understanding of the debated issues. Practical section analyses selected organisation and its system of employee benefits. As a method of collecting the qualitative data, half-structured in-depth interviews were conducted. Observed results of the interviews were gathered and reviewed with usage of software MAXQDA. Based on the analysed outcomes from the interviews with the junior employees of the company, adequate recommendations supporting more effective communication of employee benefits were made as they could potentially lead to rising employees’ satisfaction. The company can use the concluded results as a source of valid information for implementation of potential new procedures.
