Abstract:
Cílem této práce je zhodnotit vliv Franze Boase na formování americké antropologie. Uvádí, jaké intelektuální vlivy Boase formovaly, jaké bylo prostředí ve Spojených státech amerických v době jeho tamějšího působení a čím obohatil americkou a světovou antropologii. Boasův vliv je rovněž demonstrován na příkladech jeho četných žáků.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the influence of Franz Boas on formation of American anthropology. It presented what intellectual influences formed Franz Boas, what milieu was in the United States of America in the time of his working there and how he has enriched American and world anthropology. The Boas's influence is also demonstrated on the examples of his numerous students.
